Ms. Apa is an Associate at Damon & Morey, LLP, in the firm’s Labor & Employment Department, practicing exclusively in the area of U.S. Immigration Law. Ms. Apa has concentrated her practice in the field of Immigration Law since 2001 and is licensed in the states of New York and Ohio.

Ms. Apa received a dual B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in English/Journalism and History from the University of New Hampshire in 1993. She went on to earn her J.D. degree, with distinction, from Ohio Northern University’s College of Law in 1997.

An accomplished writer, Ms. Apa is a regular author for Bender’s Immigration Bulletin. Ms. Apa has written legal articles and edited treatise chapters on various immigration issues for local and national publications, including AILA, the Buffalo Law Journal and the Daily Record (Rochester, NY). She also regularly edits and revises immigration law chapters for The Homeland Security Deskbook and The Immigration Law and Procedure Desk Edition, both published by Matthew Bender/Lexis. Additionally, Ms. Apa serves each week as a moderator on an immigration law internet chat hosted by Lawyers.com and provides frequent guidance on the Lawyers.com Immigration Community Message Board.

Prior to joining Damon & Morey, Ms. Apa also served as an adjunct Legal Research and Writing instructor at Ohio Northern University’s College of Law. During that time, she was also employed as a Staff Attorney for the Ohio Third District Court of Appeals.
