Colleen K. Mattrey is an Associate in Damon & Morey’s General Litigation Department. She concentrates her practice on general liability, municipal liability, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense and nursing home defense.

Ms. Mattrey received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1998. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 2004. While attending law school, she was the recipient of the Delores Denman Award. She was also an advocate at the ATLA Civil Trial Competition (Spring 2004) and the National Civil Trial Competition (Fall 2003).

Ms. Mattrey is admitted in New York and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. She is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, the New York State Bar Association, Women's Bar Association of the State of New York, Western New York Trial Lawyers Association, and Western New York Defense Trial Lawyers Association.

She is the Coach/Attorney Advisor for the Clarence High School Mock Trial Team, who finished third overall in New York State during the 2007 season. She is also an Assistant Coach for the University at Buffalo School of Law Mock Trial Team.

Prior to entering the law, Ms. Mattrey was a social worker with Family and Children’s Services of Niagara.
