Mr. Micklus is an Associate at Damon Morey LLP in the firm’s Business and Corporate Department practicing in the areas of business and financial transaction and general business counseling. Mr. Micklus regularly advises both for-profit and not-for-profit clients on legal and tax planning issues related to start-up and formation as well as structuring and effectuating various types of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and other corporate transactions. Mr. Micklus’ practice also focuses on assisting clients in the areas of franchise law, cyberlaw and e-commerce, and licensing and distribution of technology.
Mr. Micklus received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 2006. While attending law school, Mr. Micklus was the Electronic Systems Editor for the Buffalo Law Review with responsibilities over the on-going design, development and maintenance of the Buffalo Law Review website and other technology-related needs the Law Review. Mr. Micklus also served as a Clerk for the Buffalo Intellectual Property Journal and a Class Director of the Buffalo Law School Student Bar Association. He received both the Adolf Homburger Law Alumni Association Award and the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law. Mr. Micklus received his B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Cornell University in 2003.
Mr. Micklus is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County and New York State Bar Association.
