Mr. O’Neill is Co-Chairman of the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Damon Morey LLP and a partner in firm’s Business Litigation and Insolvency Department.
He concentrates his practice in the areas of general business litigation and counseling clients with respect intellectual property protection strategies, the protection of trade secrets and confidential information, clearances, the enforcement of intellectual property rights, the registration of trademarks and copyrights, the commercialization of intellectual property, dispute avoidance and intellectual property and unfair competition litigation.
He represents businesses, professional associations, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals across a broad spectrum of industries including music and entertainment, education, health care, pharmaceuticals, nutritional and dietary supplements, manufacturing, electronics, office equipment, tools, sports and recreational facilities and household and consumer goods.
Mr. O’Neill is the firm designee for the International Trademark Association (INTA), serves on the Steering Committee for the ALFA Intellectual Property Practice Group and was member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) 2006 Delegation to China. He is a 2005 graduate of Leadership Buffalo and serves on its Board of Directors. He is also a member of the firm’s Client Development Committee.
He teaches skiing to physically and mentally challenged individuals in the Lounsbury Adaptive Ski Program at the Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville, New York, the Disabled Sports USA/Hartford Ski Spectacular in Breckenridge, Colorado, and the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic in Snowmass, Colorado.
