In addition to being Damon Morey's Managing Partner, Mr. Marlette is a Senior Partner in the firm's Litigation Department where he devotes a substantial portion of his practice to the defense of high exposure products liability and toxic substance litigation. He also represents corporations in large commercial litigation and arbitrations both domestically and internationally.

A graduate of Dartmouth College and Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Marlette’s professional memberships include the Bar Association of Erie County, the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Erie County Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of both the New York State Bar Association’s Insurance, Negligence and Compensation and the Trial Practice Committees. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of ALFA International, the oldest and largest network of independent American and international law firms. He also currently serves as co-chair of ALFA International's Law Firm Management Practice Group.

Mr. Marlette is active in a number of charitable and civic organizations. He is a past Chairman and current member of the Kaleida Health Foundation’s Board of Directors. Mr. Marlette is a member and past Chairman of the Buffalo Renaissance Foundation’s Board of Directors as well as a member of the Center for Governmental Research’s Project Oversight Committee, which conducted a study on local government consolidation issues. Mr. Marlette is also a past honoree as one of Business First of Buffalo's "40 Under Forty," was named to Business First of Buffalo's Who's Who in Law List and is listed as one of Upstate New York “Super Lawyers” in both 2008 and 2009.

Mr. Marlette has made significant contributions to the growth of the firm through his service as the Vice-Chairperson of the Management Committee and as a past Chair of the Client Development and Recruitment Committees.

A lifelong Western New York resident, Mr. Marlette, his wife Helen and their three children reside in North Buffalo.
