Mr. Moore is a Senior Partner at Damon Morey and Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department.
Mr. Moore’s responsibilities include general real estate, commercial and residential, lending regulatory compliance, lending, mortgage banking, mortgage foreclosures, title insurance, affordable housing, zoning and land use matters.
Prior to coming to Damon Morey, Mr. Moore was a partner at the Buffalo law firm of Moot and Sprague. While Chairperson of the real estate section of that firm, he supervised the Empire of America mortgage lending and closing process for New York State and created the Empire of America national home equity line of credit mortgage system. He also had responsibility for regulatory compliance requirements and all other related lending matters for Empire of America.
Mr. Moore served as a witness before the United States Congress at hearings in 1975 regarding proposed revisions to the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act of 1974 and lecturers regularly regarding the Act and other related topics at New York State Bar and Erie County Bar seminars. He is responsible for the preparation of the first adjustable mortgage loan documents used in New York State.
Mr. Moore is a member of the Erie County Bar Association Real Property Committee (Chairperson of its Pride and Practice Subcommittee) and the New York State Bar Association Real Property Section. He is approved as examining counsel for several title insurance companies, and is a member of the Western New York Advisory Board of Ticor Title Insurance Company.
