Ms. Ruchala is a Partner at Damon Morey, where she devotes a substantial portion of her practice to the defense of personal injury, products liability, toxic substance, sports and recreation liability, and trucking litigation in both state and federal courts.
As a member of the Litigation Department, Ms. Ruchala has significant defense experience in defending numerous corporate clients involved in asbestos, benzene and beryllium litigation. She also defends a number of organizations around the state involved with the care and placement of developmentally disabled youths and adults. Additionally, Ms. Ruchala is a member of a trial team for an international client in the event of product liability litigation in the United States.
Prior to her employment at Damon Morey, Ms. Ruchala was an associate attorney in the Labor and Employment Department at Jaeckle, Fleischmann and Mugel, LLP, where she also gained experience in broad-based litigation in complex matters in state and federal courts.
Ms. Ruchala is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo cum laude and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Cum Laude. She is involved in the Erie County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Women Lawyers of Western New York and civic organizations in both Erie and Niagara Counties.
Ms. Ruchala also participates in speaking engagements for various organizations. Recently, Ms. Ruchala presented a seminar regarding medicare leins in personal injury settlements to the Western New York Paralegal Association.
Ms. Ruchala, her husband, son and daughter live in Niagara County, where she is involved with historical preservation and civic development.
