Mr. Saccomando is a Partner at Damon Morey LLP, practicing in the firm’s Litigation Department. He practices in the area of insurance defense, including defense of self-insured corporations, with an emphasis on claims involving products liability, construction accidents, premises liability, and trucking and motor vehicle accidents.
Mr. Saccomando is a member of the firm's Trucking Litigation Practice Group. He has lectured on the New York State Law pertaining to construction accidents for the New York State Bar Association. He regularly represents attorneys in the defense of malpractice actions, and is a member of the American Law Firm Association's Steering Committee for the Professional Liability Practice Group. He has also successfully defended numerous fire loss subrogation claims involving a variety of products.
Mr. Saccomando also has extensive experience in insurance coverage and life insurance matters. He has authored "Exclusions in Commercial General Liability Policies" as part of the Insurance Law Practice series distributed by the New York State Bar Association. In 2010, he was the Local Chair for the New York State Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Update Continuing Legal Education Program.
He represents several Canadian insurance carriers and has authored "A Brief Overview of Insurance Defense Litigation in New York State" and coauthored "Overview of No-Fault in New York and Michigan - First Party Benefits," for the Journal of the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association.
As an appellate litigator and member of the firm's Appellate Practice Group, Mr. Saccomando has handled dozens of appeals in litigation matters, and has argued at the highest court in New York, the New York State Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in New York.
Mr. Saccomando's professional memberships and affiliations include the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association and the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association.
