Ms. Moar is an Associate at Damon Morey LLP, practicing in the firm’s Business and
Corporate and Labor and Employment Departments.
Ms. Moar received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Canisius College in
2006. She went on to receive her J.D. degree from George Washington University
Law School in 2009. While in law school Ms. Moar served as a legal fellow in the
George Washington Small Business Community Economic Development Clinic.
Ms. Moar is a member of the New York State and the Erie County Bar
Associations. Additionally, she is also a member of the Canisius College Pre-Law
Advisory Council. In the Fall of 2011, Ms. Moar joined the faculty at Canisius College
and now serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science and
teaches a course on the U.S. Constitution.
She has presented to attorneys and human resources professionals on hiring and
termination, drafting social media policies, Federal and State WARN Act, Older
Worker Benefit Protection Act, and drafting severance packages and releases. In
2010, Ms. Moar coauthored an article entitled, "Mixed-Motive Causation Under the
Americans with Disabilities Act," in the NYSBA Labor and Employment Law
Journal.
Prior to joining Damon Morey, Ms. Moar served as an intern for the Court of Appeals
for the District of Columbia.
