Experience.

Our attorneys provide services to U.S. employers, foreign workers, families and individuals in all aspects of United States Immigration and Naturalization law. Our practice focuses on business immigration matters, temporary and permanent visas, labor certification, family unification, asylum and United States Immigration Court defense.

Understanding and Respecting the Needs of Each Individual.

We understand that your immigration case involves your future. Whether it is a business opportunity, starting a new family through marriage or adoption, or avoiding the harsh consequences of a single indiscretion, immigration status is essential. We work as a team to make sure that your matter is handled with care, compassion and efficiency.

Commitment to Client Service.

Whether you or one of your employees is seeking a temporary visa, a green card, or immigration court relief, our attorneys will promptly identify your eligibility. We assist you in achieving your specific goals by clearly explaining the procedures involved as well as the expected timeline. Through our attention to detail and responsiveness, we have had particular success in developing creative solutions for complex cases.

Our main areas of focus include the following:

  • Health Care Professionals.

We have worked with numerous facilities and individuals in the health care industry. Our experience with health care providers has included advice on visa eligibility for prospective employees, assistance in J-1 waiver sponsorships and requests for designation as a HPSA or MHPSA site. We have successfully obtained J-1 waivers for psychiatrists and physicians on the basis of the State 30 Program and interested government agencies, which have included the Appalachian Regional Commission, Veterans Affairs, National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense among others. We have also successfully obtained waivers on the basis of exceptional hardship to family members of the physician.

We have obtained employment authorization for registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational and vocational therapists, and other health care providers through the H-1B and TN visas and green cards.

We have obtained national interest waivers and green cards for medical researchers involved in the study of cancer and numerous other specialties. We have also obtained O-1 visas for psychiatrists and physicians of extraordinary ability in such fields as epilepsy, neurology and emergency medicine.

  • International Business.

We have provided services and advice to Canadian and other international organizations looking to develop and expand their businesses in the United States. We have advised and obtained visas for investors, executives, managers as well as those individuals with specialized knowledge of a company’s products or services.

Our attorneys have frequently used the L-1 visa for intra-company transferees to assist with establishment, development and growth of new U.S. businesses. Additionally, the L-1 visa has offered our clients a smooth transition in obtaining green cards for investors, executives, managers and their families.

We have obtained numerous TN visas for Canadians who work in the fields of information technology and management consulting, including systems analysts, teachers and scientific technicians.

  • United States Employers.

We assist American employers in meeting their temporary and long term employment needs by obtaining work authorization for their foreign national employees. We have obtained H-1B, O-1, J-1 and other visas for professional workers in information technology, engineering, marketing, management and numerous other business professions. We have also successfully obtained labor certification approvals through full labor certification, requests for reduction in recruitment and the current PERM process, to assist employers who are unable to fill positions with qualified American workers. We have helped employees transition from students with practical training, to H-1B specialty visas, to their green cards. We help American businesses remain competitive through our prompt and efficient services.

  • Entertainment and Sports.

We have particular expertise in obtaining visas for performers and other members of the entertainment industry. We have obtained temporary visas and green cards for recording artists, actors and voice actors, award winning film and television directors and cameramen, producers, and recording engineers. Our attorneys have also provided the full range of immigration and business advice to production, sound and lighting companies and their technicians.

We have assisted touring theatrical productions, wild west shows and prominent dance groups with P visas and other cultural performer visas.

We have provided services for a professional soccer league, numerous professional athletes, coaches and trainers. Our success stories include O-1 visas for coaches and trainers in soccer, basketball, gymnastics, skating and ice dancing.

  • United States Immigration Court.

We also provide the full range of services in defense of deportation and removal proceedings. This includes affirmative and defensive asylum claims, requests for withholding of removal as well as claims for protection under the convention against torture. We have successfully represented our clients in matters involving suspension of deportation, cancellation of removal, adjustment of status, return of confiscated green cards, and other forms of relief.
