N.Y. – Damon & Morey attorney Patrick B. Curran has been
admitted to The Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
Founded in 1936, the FDCC is comprised of national leaders who have
been judged by their peers as having received high distinction in the
legal profession. Members include experienced attorneys in private
practice, general counsel and insurance claims executives.
A Senior Partner at Damon & Morey, Mr. Curran is a member of the
Litigation Department as well as the Nursing Home Defense and Health
Care Practice Groups. He is experienced as trial and appellate counsel
in the defense of matters involving medical malpractice, product
liability, construction accidents and general negligence litigation.
Over the past twenty-four years, Mr. Curran has successfully defended
doctors, businesses, and individuals in dozens of jury trials.
Mr. Curran serves on the National Board of the American Board of Trial
Advocates (ABOTA) as the representative for the Buffalo Chapter; he is
also a past president and founding member of the chapter.
Additionally, he is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI),
Defense Trial Lawyers of Western New York and the Western New York
Trial Lawyers Association. He received his B.A. degree, cum laude,
from the State University of New York at Albany and his J.D. degree
from New York Law School.

Managing Partner Reappointed as the
Chair of the Kaleida Health Foundation’s Board of Directors
Buffalo,
New York – Damon & Morey is pleased to announce that Peter S.
Marlette, the firm’s Managing Partner, was re-elected as the Chair
of the Kaleida Health Foundation’s Board of Directors. Mr. Marlette
originally joined the Millard Fillmore Foundation Board (which
eventually merged into the Kaleida Health Foundation) in 1991.
A Senior Partner in the Litigation Department, Mr. Marlette devotes a
substantial portion of his practice to the defense of high exposure
products liability, toxic substance, and trucking litigation. He also
represents corporations in large commercial litigation and
arbitrations both domestically and internationally. Mr. Marlette
received his B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and his J.D. degree
from Georgetown University Law Center.
The Kaleida Health Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable
organization supporting Buffalo General Hospital, DeGraff Memorial
Hospital, Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital, Millard Fillmore
Suburban Hospital, and the Visiting Nursing Association of WNY. The
Foundation Board is comprised of 16 community leaders whose mission is
to raise funds for new technology, continuing staff education, patient
education, patient programs, research and a variety of community
health care programs.
